How do I use the fetal doppler?

To use your BellyCove Doppler:

  1. Apply a small amount of the included Parker Labs Aquasonic Clear Ultrasound Gel to your lower belly (just below your belly button works best early in pregnancy).
  2. Turn on the doppler and place the probe against your skin where you applied the gel.
  3. Move the probe slowly and gently, tilting it at different angles if needed. Move very slowly to avoid missing the heartbeat.
  4. Listen carefully — once the doppler detects your baby’s heartbeat, you’ll hear a steady, rhythmic sound.
  5. Wipe off any remaining gel with a clean cloth after use.

Tip: Early in pregnancy (before 12–14 weeks), it may take a little longer to locate the heartbeat — stay patient and move the probe slowly.

How often can I use the doppler?
